SUMMER CRICKET 2009

LORDS

MAY - SEPTEMBER 2009

Often described as the 'home of cricket', Lords cricket ground is one of the most famous cricket venues in the country. Owned by Marylebone Cricket Club it was originally opened in 1987, but has been renovated many times including as recently as 1998-9 and 2002-3 when it received new drainage and a complete redevelopment of the outfield. The North-West of the playing surface is eight feet higher than the South-East side, causing deviations in the bounce of the ball and adding an extra piece of drama to the world class matches that take place at Lords.
